Instructions for Set-up and Usage:

1. Begin by installing 10 pins into the gears by inserting them into the corresponding holes. If the pin hole is difficult to reach, adjust the position of the tool so that the gears move into a new position. For better access, the adjustment sleeve can be removed. Be cautious when inserting the pins as they may still be sharp despite having a dulled head.
2. With an empty portafilter basket, place the tool inside to determine if the pin height needs adjustment. Holding the tool under a bright light can aid in this process. If adjustment is necessary, hold the jam nut and rotate the adjustment sleeve until reaching the desired height. Secure the position by tightening the jam nut against the adjustment sleeve.
3. Fill the portafilter with espresso grounds and position the tool on top. Rotate the tool until a white circle aligns with one of the pin holes, ensuring that the pins are furthest away from the edges for easy placement on the portafilter.
4. Rotate the tool 4-8 times, tap the portafilter lightly on the counter after the final spin to settle the grounds, and then give the tool one last slow spin before gently removing it from the basket. Place the tool in its stand, tamp the grounds, and proceed to brew espresso.
5. Hand wash the tool with lukewarm water and soap as it is additively manufactured.
