Each preassembled WDT tool includes an anodized aluminum handle, cap, and stand, as well as 10 custom engineered needles for the 9 spots in the tool.

Our goal was to create a WDT tool that not only looks sleek and modern but also performs exceptionally well. Working with industrial designers, we developed a design that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. The two-toned anodized parts in clear and black offer a subtle color contrast, while the pickle fork style stand adds a touch of modern flair.

Unlike other brands that use 3D printer cleaning needles, our WDT tool features custom engineered 304 stainless steel needles with an optimal size of 0.37mm. The solid CNC’d 6061 T-6 aluminum handle provides a weight of 60 grams, offering increased control and minimal spillage during use. Additionally, the handle design allows for multiple grip options, enhancing the user experience.

The precision drilled holes in the cap enable the perimeter needles to be angled at 6 degrees, allowing for better reach into the portafilter corners and more efficient distribution of coffee grounds. If a needle needs to be replaced, simply unscrew the bottom cap and swap out the damaged needle.
